Don the Beachcomber's 1930s encrypted monster: Jamaican dark rum and 151 with lime, falernum, Cointreau, grenadine and absinthe. Complex, dangerous, crimson.

Ingredients

• Dark rum — 45 ml
• 151-proof rum — 15 ml
• Lime juice — 15 ml
• Falernum — 15 ml
• Cointreau — 7.5 ml
• Grenadine — 7.5 ml
• Absinthe — 1 dash
• Cherry — 1 piece

Preparation

1. Add dark rum, 151-proof rum, lime juice, falernum, Cointreau and grenadine to a shaker with ice.
2. Shake until well chilled.
3. Fine-strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
4. Dash absinthe over the surface.
5. Garnish with a cherry.
