An Old Fashioned cousin sweetened with maraschino instead of sugar. Bourbon stays broad and oaky beneath cherry stone, orange oils and two layers of bitters.

Ingredients

• Bourbon — 60 ml
• Maraschino liqueur — 13 ml
• Angostura bitters — 3 dash
• Orange bitters — 2 dash
• Orange peel — 1 piece

Preparation

1. Add bourbon, maraschino and both bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
2. Stir until chilled and diluted.
3. Strain over a large ice cube in an old-fashioned glass.
4. Express and place an orange twist.
