Ingredients
- Sugar — 1 cup
- Water — 3/4 cup
- Apricot — 2 piece
- Almond flavoring — 1 tbsp
- Grain alcohol — 1/2 cup
- Water — 1/2 cup
- Brandy — 1 cup
- Food coloring — 3 drops
- Food coloring — 6 drops
- Food coloring — 2 drops
- Glycerine — 1/2 tsp
Preparation
- Combine sugar and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer until dissolved.
- Cool the sugar syrup.
- Combine apricot halves, almond flavoring, grain alcohol, water, and brandy in an aging container.
- Stir in the cooled sugar syrup.
- Seal and age for 2 days.
- Remove apricot halves.
- Add food coloring and glycerine.
- Stir, reseal, and age for 1 to 2 months.
- Bottle as desired.
